What?! Why eye got connection with finger??!! These are totally 2 different organ at 2 different part of the body. Can't ever imagine that index finger allergy and dry eye were caused by same allergent!

Yeap, the allergent is the multi purpose contact lens solution. I am using Optic Free, which is quite a good multi purpose contact lens solution and expensive as well. However, the cleaning regime required of the cleaning and rubbing of the contact lens (by using my right hand index finger) has cause my index finger outter skin layer eroded. Well, initially i thought it was my skin allergy reaction to dish washer or seafood that i consume. Yet, the burning sensation of the skin around the index finger gave me some indication that this was not the usual skin allergy that i am experiencing.

Temporary measure for my dry eye is to rinse the contact lens with normal saline solution for at least 20s inner and outer layer each before fixing the contact lens to my eye. This has help reduce the dry eye condition and incidents of contact lens falling off. And it feels more comfortable and moist with contact lens in my eyes since yesterday.

But, i still yet to find a solution for the cleaning procedure which required exposure of my index finger (or any finger and palm) to the multipurpose solution. Guess i should switch to daily exposure contact lens immediately. This shall be the upmost ultimate solution.

Note: I am currently experincing skin allergy condition to dish washer (alkaline solution) and seafood. Opti-Free is not suitable to my skin condition which is just an isolated case. I still believe this brand provide a best solution for cleaning, rinsing and disinfect for contact lens.
